Summary of Experience:
Andy began practicing law after serving as law clerk for the Honorable Lauren S. Holland at Lane County Circuit Court for one and a half years.  As a clerk, he was exposed to a multitude of Circuit Court proceedings on a daily basis, from murder trials to multi-million dollar civil litigation.  Through this experience he gained knowledge and an appreciation for the courtroom and an understanding of the professionalism and diligence that necessarily accompany such proceedings.  This is the philosophy he strives to capture in his law practice.

Andy currently dedicates a majority of his practice to criminal defense cases, as well as some family law cases and estate planning. He makes regular appearances in Municipal, Circuit and Federal courts on such matters.  In 2015, he partnered with John Kolego to form Kolego & Kraushaar, Attorneys at Law, Inc. Working alongside John, he benefits from having a seasoned trial attorney with over 30 years of experience at his side.

When not in the office or courtroom he enjoys donating his time and volunteering with Senior Legal Services of Lane County and the Veterans Legal Clinic to provide pro bono legal services to our community’s senior citizen and veteran population.

Education:
Andy is proud to call himself a “Double Duck”.  After receiving Bachelors of Arts degrees in both Political Science and Spanish at the University of Oregon, he decided to return to the U of O for law school, where he earned his Doctorate in Jurisprudence.  Go Ducks!

Biography:
Prior to embarking on a legal career, Andy spent time working as a journalist in Costa Rica and then teaching elementary school reading in Spanish to low-level readers.  He continues to utilize his Spanish language skills on a daily basis, catering to the legal needs of the local Spanish-speaking community.
